The Host is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, seating of guests, and performing a variety of other tasks within the restaurant. Some duties include managing the reservation book, answering phones, taking guests names, walking guests to tables and offering menus and drinks to guests once they sit down. Other tasks are ensuring tables are ready for seating guests, constantly monitoring dining activity, inspecting menus for cleanliness, and assisting servers when necessary.
All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Welcome guests to the venueProvide accurate wait times and monitor waiting listsManage reservationsEscort customers to assigned dining or bar areasProvide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s nameGreet customers upon their departureCoordinate with wait staff about available seating optionsMaintain a clean reception areaCater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly)Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queriesUse knowledge of menu to answer guest questionsCoordinate with Front of House staff regarding available seatingSeat guests, ensuring proper server rotation is maintainedProcess to-go orders quickly and efficiently in the point-of-sale system, handling credit/debit or room/house charge transactions accuratelyMaintain store appearance with respect to merchandising and maintenance standardsFollow safety and sanitation guidelines; comply with all applicable lawsResponds appropriately to customer concernsEnsures a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked host standAssist servers and food runners, as needed. Must be able to maneuver heavy trays of foodPerform other duties as assignedWhat are we looking for?
