Hospitality Accounting Controller
About The Role: We are looking for a Hospitality Property Controller for CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions, an exciting and growing environment. Contributors in this role assist the team in coordinating financial reporting and analytical review of the property owner entities. What You'll Do: + Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual workpapers and financial statements. + Perform daily accounting, including account reconciliations, general ledger analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and other related items. + Support AP/AR staff in areas of training, development, coaching and mentoring. + Provide strategic support, analysis and ad hoc reports to client when required. + Support client on audits related to State or local tax returns. + Act as a liaison and build a positive client experience by opening and maintaining constructive and reliable lines of communication with client’s operations, sales and marketing teams. + Meet with client regularly, both in group meetings and individually, to discuss financial performance and to set and monitor achievement status of organizational goals. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. + Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of accounting experience is required. + Working knowledge of inventory and cost of goods sold accounting is a firm requirement for this hospitality accounting role. + Individual must be highly motivated, detail oriented, a self-starter with excellent math, Excel and analytic skills. You’ll need to exhibit sound judgment and knowledge of financial operating procedures. You should be able to work without direct supervision once stabilized in the role. + Experience in fast paced, high-volume environment; ability to multi-task and perform calmly under pressure a must. + Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication required. + Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels at CBRE and client organization. + Sophisticated technical financial skills and extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting and FASB standards. + Strong skills in computer, ERP and other ancillary systems generally used in hospitality are required. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $145,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. Why CBRE?
