**Job Description:** The Hospitalist Assistant is responsible for providing the department with administrative and physician support services, and performing a variety of clinical and patient-related duties necessary to ensure a smoothly functioning unit. The Hospitalist Assistant works in partnership and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary clinical care team members, toward providing quality patient care and enhanced communications. **Education:** + Completion of Medical Assistant Program - Accredited Required -or- Equivalent Experience or Completion of relevant program considered **Experience:** + 1 year Clerical - Healthcare Environment Required **Certifications/Licenses:** + BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required **Skills:** + Knowledge of medical terminology through experience or completion of a course. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point). + Proficient in EMR or other computer skills. Experience in Epic preferred. + Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team-based environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary health care professionals. + Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment and perform effectively with rapidly changing priorities. + Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and an excellent phone etiquette. + Demonstrates organization skills with customer and patient focused while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times. **Work Shift:** 08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America) **Pay Range:** $31.60 - $42.67 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
