Description
As the Home Mortgage Closing Specialist, you will be responsible for the accumulation and analysis of documentation needed for the preparation of closing documents along with directing department workflow. You will communicate with the title companies, escrow agents and attorneys.
Primary responsibilities include
• Review loan files to ensure all required documentation is present and accurate.
• Coordinate with title companies, attorneys, and borrowers to schedule closing appointments.
• Verify that loan terms, interest rates, fees, and other details match the original loan agreement.
• Disbursement of funds following the closing.
• Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the transaction to ensure a smooth and timely closing.
• Receive and review closing documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate any deficiencies with customers and account executives and obtain missing documentation and/or corrections as necessary.
• Pull reporting daily to manage pipeline
• Prepare Closing Disclosure, Closing packages, on all different products that include CEMA, COOP, Portfolio, FHA, CHFA, HELOCs and HELOANS
• Follow TRID guidelines when it comes to VCC , avoiding cost to cures
• Follow TRID guidelines when it comes to CD acknowledgement to ensure closing dates are not missed.
• Reconcile wire and make sure you balance with our Settlement Agent before sending funds
• Review all closing conditions, making sure all funding docs have been collected to issue funding authorization timely
• Meet or Exceed production requirement 40 loans min / month
• Meet or Exceed an average Quality performance 95% or better
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
• 3-5 years of Home Mortgage Closing Experience
• Knowledge of TRID
• Familiar with cost to cure when it comes to VCC (valid change circumstance)
• Office Experience 2-3 years of work experience in either an office or retail environment
• Banking or mortgage experience 2-3 years knowledge of DTI and LTV ratios with ability to decipher loan documentation and related reports and/or websites
• Customer Service 2-3 years’ experience in oral and written communication with internal and external customers
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines is critical to this position
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• Requires work in a fast pace environment with the ability to multitask
• High School or Equivalent (GED) Required
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40 Schedule: Monday-Friday this role is hybrid in our Glen Allen office (4 days a week in the office)Some job boards have started using jobseeker-reported data to estimate salary ranges for roles.
