POSITION: Hockey Instructor -- P/T Hourly
REPORTS TO: Hockey Coordinator

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Hockey Instructor at the McFetridge Sports Center. The Hockey Instructor is responsible for assisting and/or running beginner, intermediate and advanced tennis lessons for kids and adults at the McFetridge Sports Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Other duties may be assigned.

Assist with and/or lead hockey lessons, teaching basic Learn to Skate hockey and Learn to Play hockey skills at the direction of the Hockey Coordinator.

Monitor and ensure the proper use of hockey equipment.

Assist in the planning and organization of hockey lessons and activities.

Instruct patrons on proper techniques to support skill development and overall success in hockey.

Maintain a safe, positive, and fun environment that encourages participation, exercise, and enjoyment of the sport.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Position requires ability to:

Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.

Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.

Ensuring and following safety measures and regulations.

Ice skating skills and general fitness experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant should have previous hockey playing experience - must have or be in the process of obtaining a USA hockey coaching certification. Applicant should be able to teach fundamental skating and hockey skills to children ranging in ages 3-15 years old as well as adults. Applicant would have to be available weekday evenings and weekends.

Hours: This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Able to work specifically on weekday evenings and weekends.

HOURLY RATE:  $19.00
