Job Description

As a Hobbing Operator, you will be responsible for operating departmental machines to meet customer quality standards. This role involves loading and unloading parts, performing basic inspection functions, and ensuring accuracy in part counts.

ResponsibilitiesOperate machines efficiently to meet production targets.Load and unload parts with precision.Conduct basic inspections using no-go and go gages.Record inspection data accurately.Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers during production.Accurately count and record parts.Maintain a clean and organized work area following the 6S methodology.Complete paperwork timely and accurately.Read and comprehend travelers and related paperwork.Record time input per job.Essential SkillsExperience in machine operation.Ability to accurately count parts.Previous manufacturing experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with inspection tools such as gages, mics, and calipers.Strong communication skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a family-oriented company with a total of 110 employees across two shifts. The environment is temperature-controlled at a constant 72 degrees. The noise level is loud, with occasional exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, gases, and moving mechanical parts. First shift hours are from 6 am to 4:30 pm, while the third shift runs from 10 pm to 6 am, Sunday to Thursday, with a 15% shift premium.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roscoe, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $25.00/hr.
