Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for running secondary functions in the fabrication department. You will operate a variety of machinery, primarily performing tasks such as loading parts, running machines, offloading parts, and checking quality. Basic assembly may be required, but most assembly occurs in the production department.
Responsibilities
Operate machinery to perform secondary functions in the fabrication department.Perform tasks including grinding, polishing, drilling holes, deburring, and measuring.Conduct basic assembly tasks such as putting a couple of pieces together.Load material, run parts, and ensure quality checks are conducted.Essential Skills
6 months of experience operating machines in a production environment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, although most products are lighter but larger.Proficiency in measuring and using equipment such as tape measures.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in metal manufacturing is a plus but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility is large and divided into sections including assembly/warehouse, a lab for circuit board manufacturing, and fabrication. All areas are well-lit, clean, temperature-controlled, and organized, ensuring a comfortable work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.83 - $19.83/hr.
