**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Material Handler** **Job Description** The Shipping and Receiving Material Handler is responsible for verifying and maintaining records on outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. This role involves comparing identifying information and counts, weighing or measuring items of outgoing shipments to verify information against various records. The position requires affixing shipping labels, assembling containers, and ensuring all outgoing shipments meet specifications. **Responsibilities** + Verify and maintain records on outgoing shipments. + Prepare items for shipment by comparing identifying information and counts against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. + Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons. + Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers. + Insert items into containers and seal them appropriately. + Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications. + Use a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments to the appropriate area. + Drive a box rental truck responsibly, ensuring a valid Driver’s License with no violations. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of driving experience. + 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience. + Experience with inventory tracking and stocking. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in material handling, forklift operation, assembly, loading and unloading trucks. + Proficient in inventory control and tracking. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance with a company contribution to annual deductibles.
