**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk** **Job Description** The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for operating a forklift to load and unload trucks, inputting production numbers into the Daily Floor Report program, and managing the schedule for dispatching and setting up trucks. This role involves filling out Bill of Lading (BOL) and packlists, communicating with the scheduler regarding freight or production issues, and updating records of all loads shipped. The clerk will also negotiate freight rates weekly and assist in maintaining a clear production floor. **Responsibilities** + Operate a forklift for loading and unloading trucks approximately 70% of the day. + Input production numbers into the Daily Floor Report program on a computer. + Read and understand the schedule for dispatching and truck setup. + Complete BOL and packlists accurately. + Communicate with the scheduler about any freight or production issues. + Deliver copies of paperwork to the scheduler after loads leave. + Maintain an updated calendar for driver and production meetings. + Keep records of all loads shipped in the Shipping Log on the computer. + Negotiate freight company rates weekly to secure lower rates. + Collaborate with the grinding room to keep the production floor clear of scrap. + Inventory finished goods and remove them from the Floor Report once shipped. **Essential Skills** + Inventory management + Shipping and receiving + RF scanner operation + Forklift operation + Material handling **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in shipping and receiving is essential. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that values family and hosts company events to strengthen community bonds. It can become slightly hotter in the summer, typically 5-10 degrees above the outside temperature. The facility is relatively clean but can be loud due to running machines. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Rogers, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
