Hiring Cell Operator - MIB(1st /3rd Shift)
**Job Title: Cell Operator** **Job Description** The Cell Operator is responsible for the upkeep and operations of automated adapters interfacing with the conveyor system structure. This role entails assisting with system readiness to achieve performance targets defined by leadership. The operator will utilize Human/Machine Interface (HMI) terminals to effectively operate equipment, organize pallets and products, and ensure efficient manual lifting into the robotic structure. **Responsibilities** + Ensure safety commitments are met daily in compliance with OSHA and customer processes and procedures. + Perform pre-production checks on automated adapters ensuring equipment is ready to run. + Process and monitor the flow of the automated storage and retrieval system to achieve maximum throughput. + Prepare pallets for induction into the storage and retrieval system. + Assess causes of system stoppages and return to service using HMI and manual intervention. + Assist team members in system troubleshooting. + Analyze recurring faults and determine the best corrective actions. + Communicate and escalate production-impacting issues to operational leadership. + Contribute to system uptime through preservation, recovery, suspect removal, and bot health actions. + Make recommendations for process and continuous improvement. + Perform periodic system inspections including cleaning, lubrication, tolerance checking, and component validation. + Report all out-of-spec conditions and perform root cause corrective actions. + Maintain continuous operation of system components. + Monitor and use radio etiquette while obtaining instructions from leadership. + Perform rover bot upkeep including replacing wheels, cleaning, and sensor maintenance. + Responsible for automated robotic vehicle recovery in restrictive environments. + Assist Automation technicians with breakdown calls and ensure continuous system availability. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of manufacturing experience in a Machine Operator or Entry Level Maintenance role. + Technical skills including the use of touchscreens, computers, and mobile cell phones. + Problem-solving skills to identify and communicate issues with solutions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school graduate or trade school preferred. + Skills in machine operating, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, manufacturing, problem solving, automation, production, mechanical, robotics, preventive maintenance, and repair. **Why Work Here?** The company is experiencing growth, with products and systems years ahead of the competition. The environment involves working with 300 robots, with some racking reaching heights of up to 45 feet and restrictive areas of 24 inches. Protection from weather conditions is provided, but temperature changes range from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melrose Park, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
