Pay: $27-$38/hr (depending on experience)

Job Description

Join a dynamic team tasked with assembling and reworking consumer wearable electronic devices. This role involves 85% assembly and 15% rework, maintaining and upgrading prototypes, products, tools, and assemblies in support of engineering activities. The typical work schedule is 8am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Build and rework prototypes consistent with engineering specifications through mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, soldering, and adhesive joiningMaintain and upgrade proof of concept devices and prototypes using various components such as pneumatics, sensors, motors, cameras, and textiles.Systematically troubleshoot design issues and communicate results with engineers for further analysis.Conduct component-level debugging and offer solutions to complex problems.Perform electromechanical tests independently and document test results accurately.Provide general support for the engineering team.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring tools and assembly areas are orderly.Offer detailed written feedback to engineers to improve the product from an assembly perspective.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2+ years of recent and relevant experience in electronic assemblyAbility to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical prints.Experience using hand and power tools; shop tools such as lathes, mills, and drill presses are desired.Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and soldering irons (IPC certification is a plus).Ability to follow strict engineering directions and procedures.Hands-on prototyping skills and mechanical aptitude.Basic math skills and computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and web navigation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in a prototype environment is preferred.Soldering and IPC certification are preferred.Experience using microscopes to apply adhesives is advantageous.Familiarity with GD&T is preferred.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $38.00/hr.
