**Software Engineering** **Lead** **Analyst – Mainframe (Developer)** Position Overview We are looking for a seasoned Mainframe Lead Analyst to design, develop, and modernize enterprise healthcare systems. This role demands strong technical leadership, handson coding, and mentoring within Agile squads to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Responsibilities + Lead design and development of COBOL programs and JCL scripts for batch and online processing. + OptimizeDB2 and VSAM data structures; manage IMS DB/DC transactions. + Provide technical leadership: guide developers, review code, enforce standards. + Collaborate in Agileceremonies;drive backlog prioritization and sprint planning. + Integrate GitHub workflows for version control and CI/CD pipelines. + Utilize modern mainframe tools (IDz, ADDI) for impact analysis and productivity. + Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and security protocols. + Partner with cross‑functional teams for architecture decisions and performance tuning. + Mentor junior engineers; foster continuous learning and process improvement.  Qualifications **Required Skills** **:** + Expertisein COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, IMS (DB/DC). + Proven experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum/SAFe). + Healthcare domain knowledge (minimum 2 years). + Strong GitHub usage for branching, PR reviews, and CI/CD. + Excellent problem‑solving, leadership, and communication skills. **Preferred Qualifications** **:** + Hands‑on withIDzand ADDI. + Exposure to DevOps practices and automated testing. + Familiarity with integration patterns (APIs, messaging). + Knowledge of performance testing and optimization. **Required** **Experience** **& Education** **:** ** ** + 5–8 years of experience in Mainframe development and analysis. + Collegedegree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.  **About Evernorth Health Services** Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, creates pharmacy, care and benefit solutions to improve health and increase vitality.
