Our client, a government agency in the public sector, is seeking a Help Desk professional to join their dedicated support team. As a Help Desk team member, you will be instrumental in providing essential technical support and ensuring seamless IT operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, aligning successfully within a collaborative and inclusive environment.
**Job Title:** Help Desk
**Location:** Madison, WI - Hybrid
**Duration:** 6+ months (highly possible to extend)
**What's the Job?**
+ Assist customers in resolving technical support issues related to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
+ Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop platforms, operating systems, and software applications.
+ Provide phone support to users, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
+ Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and software problems with a focus on customer satisfaction.
+ Document technical issues and resolutions accurately, contributing to user documentation and knowledge bases.
**What's Needed?**
+ 2-5+ years of experience in Service Desk & IT/Desktop Support roles.
+ Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, OS, and software issues effectively.
+ Strong communication and customer service skills to support diverse users.
+ Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing systems such as Cherwell (nice to have).
+ Experience with imaging and deploying PCs (preferred).
