Job Description
We are seeking skilled and reliable Vehicle Technicians to perform maintenance, repair, and modifications on FMTV 10 Ton Dump Trucks. This hands-on role requires experience with fabrication techniques and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and capable of interpreting technical drawings to complete precision modifications on various truck assemblies.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repair, and modifications on FMTV 10 Ton Dump Trucks.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.Measure and mark materials for cutting or alteration using hand tools and layout instruments.Ensure accuracy and vehicle integrity of modifications and repairs.Assist in assembling, fitting, and securing steel parts in place using various means.Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.Communicate with supervisors and engineers regarding job progress, issues, or design changes.Essential Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience working with FMTV 10 Ton Dump Trucks or equivalent.Proficiency in using power tools and measuring devices.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.Familiarity with truck assembly or automotive chassis modification.Valid driver’s license.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
