Summary:
Operates and maintains a variety of fleet equipment such as gas, diesel and propane powered rolling stock including trucks, forklifts, cranes, and passenger vehicles throughout multiple locations in Alaska.
Essential Functions:
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Repairs or replaces defective parts.Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery.Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and/or other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.Repairs and maintains gas, diesel and propane powered rolling stock including trucks, forklifts, cranes, man lifts and passenger vehicles.Repairs and maintains hydraulic systems associated with forklifts, mobile cranes, dock cranes, boats, and heavy equipment.Repairs and maintains marine hydraulics of marine equipment and small engines. Repairs and maintains electrical systems associated with auto’s, forklifts, mobile cranes, boats, and heavy equipment.Repairs and maintains tires on all sizes of vehicle and rim type.Repairs, maintains, and replaces alternators, starters, belts, hoses, hydraulic lines, differentials, axles, etc.Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.May participate and train with First Responder Haz Mat team.
