Monday – Friday Consistent Weekday Schedule

Pay: $25/Hr - $35/Hr (Depending on Experience)

Job Description:

We are looking for Heavy Equipment Operators responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of heavy machinery used in construction, excavation, grading, demolition, roadwork, and other civil or industrial projects. As an Operator you will ensure equipment is used according to safety standards, project specifications, and worksite procedures. Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, graders, backhoes, and other machinery as assigned.Perform site preparation tasks including digging, trenching, grading, and earthmoving.Follow project plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors or site managers.Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper operation and identify mechanical issues.Perform basic preventative maintenance such as fueling, lubricating, and cleaning machines.Safely load and unload equipment from trailers or transport vehicles.Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and delays when required.Comply with OSHA standards, safety policies, and jobsite rules.Communicate with ground personnel and team members using radios, hand signals, or verbal instructions.Assist with jobsite labor tasks as needed when equipment is not in use.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction, agriculture, mining, or related fields.Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred depending on project needs.Heavy Equipment Operator certification or relevant training (NCCER or equivalent) is a plus.Ability to read site plans and understand grades, elevations, and stake markings.Strong understanding of safety procedures and hazard awareness.Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Outdoor job sites including construction zones, industrial areas, roadways, and undeveloped landExposure to noise, dust, vibrations, and heavy machineryWork may require early mornings, overtime, weekends, or extended hours depending on project timelines

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
