Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Description:

If you're looking for steady, year‑round work and have experience operating heavy equipment, this is the position for you! A leading contractor is hiring operators for a large mass‑excavation project supporting the construction of a brand‑new water park. If you can proficiently run GPS dozers, excavators, backhoes, track hoes and want consistent hours — even through the winter — we can get you started quickly with a fast interview process.

Responsibilities:

• Operate dozers, excavators, and front‑end loaders

• Grade and smooth land using a bulldozer

• Move soil and load trucks efficiently

• Work independently in an excavator when needed

• Maintain pace to meet project deadlines

• Communicate regularly with the site foreman regarding progress and potential issues

Essential Skills:

• 2+ years operating heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, tractors)

• Civil site‑work experience

• Ability to operate safely in a fast‑paced environment

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Familiarity with GPS systems for grading and excavation

Nice to Have:

• OSHA 10 (provided if you don’t have it)

• Strong multi‑machine operating skills

Pay / Shift:

• $25/hr – $30/hr, based on experience

• 40–60 hours/week, steady year‑round work

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
