**Heavy Equipment Operator – 40+ Hours, Year‑Round – $30–$35/hr** **Location:** Omaha, NE **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Pay:** **$30–$35/hr** (based on experience) **Schedule:** Year-round, 40+ hours per week **Job Description** We are hiring experienced **Heavy Equipment Operators** for a major commercial construction project in Omaha, NE. This role offers **steady, year‑round work** , including through the winter. We are looking for versatile operators who can run multiple types of equipment and excel in fast-moving site maintenance environments. You’ll operate Motor Graders (JD 872 series), Dozers (D6–D8), Excavators (full‑size 300 series and minis), and more while supporting haul roads, surcharges, truck loading, and footing work. We provide a **rapid interview process** to get qualified operators started quickly. **Responsibilities** + Operate Motor Graders for essential site maintenance + Switch between equipment types based on project needs + Operate Dozers and Excavators for loading haul trucks and digging footings + Perform fine grading and foundational work with precision + Conduct proper equipment inspection and maintenance + Maintain safe operations and follow all site plans and supervisor directions **Essential Skills** + **4+ years of experience** operating Excavators, Dozers, or Motor Graders + Strong proficiency with Wheel Loaders, Graders, Excavators, Tractors, Scrapers, Dozers, and Bulldozers + Familiarity with **Antler Controls** on Motor Graders + OneSource Level 2+ certification + Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with excavation and backhoe operations + Strong adaptability and willingness to operate multiple types of equipment + Reliable attendance and strong communication skills **Why This Opportunity?** + **$28–$35/hr** depending on experience + **Year‑round work** , including winter + Fast-moving commercial project with steady hours + Variety of equipment and tasks — no repetitive days **Ready to Join the Crew?** **We move quickly and offer a streamlined interview process for qualified operators.** **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhorn, NE. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
