Heavy Equipment Operator **Portzen Construction** 1 Positions ID: 87302 Posted On 02/09/2026 **Job Overview** Portzen Construction is seeking full-time Heavy Equipment Operators. **Responsibilities:** + Operate various pieces of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders and other large equipment to erect structures, excavate, move or grade earth + Lift, position and place machinery, equipment and other objects at construction sites and industrial facilities + Repair and maintain equipment as needed **Requirements:** + Must be at least 18 years old + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required to join the apprenticeship program + Previous experience working on construction job sites and operating heavy equipment + Able to read and understand construction documents + Able to follow safety guidelines at all times + Will work in varied conditions including hot and cold temperatures + Must wear personal protective equipment provided This position is a full-time position that can be seasonal, some travel may be required within a 150 mile radius of Dubuque.
