Heavy Equipment Operator
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – 40+ hours, year-round!$28–$35/hr

Description:

If you're looking for steady work through the winter and have experience operating heavy machinery, this is the position for you! A major commercial construction project in Omaha, NE needs a highly versatile Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team. This role offers variety and the chance to expertly operate Motor Graders (JD 872 Series), Dozers (D6–D8), and Excavators (both full‑sized 300 series and minis) for critical site maintenance. Operators will work on haul roads, surcharges, loading haul trucks, and digging footings. We provide a rapid interview process to get you started quickly!

Responsibilities:

• Operate Motor Graders for site maintenance.

• Switch between equipment types as project needs change, including Dozers and Excavators for loading haul trucks and digging footings.

• Perform fine grading and foundational work with precision.

• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of heavy machinery.

• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment while following project plans and supervisor instructions.

Essential Skills:

• 4+ years of experience operating Excavators, Dozers, or Motor Graders.

• Proficiency in handling Wheel Loaders, Graders, Excavators, Tractors, Scrapers, Dozers, and Bulldozers.

• Familiarity with Antler Controls located near the armrest on the Motor Grader.

• OneSource Level 2+ certification.

• Physical ability to work outdoors in various conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in excavation and backhoe operations.

• Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
