**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator**
Job Description
Individuals will be operating equipment on construction sites, requiring the operation of bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, and front-end loaders for their grade crew. Candidates must be comfortable working outside the cab as well.
Responsibilities
+ Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, and loaders to move earth, debris, and materials.
+ Excavation & Grading: Use equipment to dig, level, and grade land according to project specifications.
+ Site Preparation: Clear land, remove obstacles, and ensure proper groundwork for construction.
+ Material Handling: Load, transport, and distribute materials like dirt, gravel, and rock.
+ Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily inspections, minor repairs, and routine maintenance to keep machinery in top condition.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operation.
+ 2-3+ years experience operating Excavators, Dozers, and Front End Loaders.
+ Must be comfortable occasionally working outside the cab.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with grading, dozer, excavator, front end loader, commercial construction, and site development.
+ Proficiency in using Excavator, Bulldozer, Motor Grader, and heavy equipment.
+ Skills in heavy equipment operation, fine grading, bulldozer, construction, rough grade, and vibratory rollers.

Work Environment
Individuals will work on average 40-50 hours per week, with hours from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, depending on weather conditions. Flexibility to work some weekends is required. There are 15 job sites, and candidates must be willing to work at all locations within the Richmond Metro area, with the furthest site being 45 minutes from Chester, VA.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
