**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator** Job Description Individuals will be operating equipment on construction sites, requiring the operation of bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, and front-end loaders for their grade crew. Candidates must be comfortable working outside the cab as well. Responsibilities + Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, and loaders to move earth, debris, and materials. + Excavation & Grading: Use equipment to dig, level, and grade land according to project specifications. + Site Preparation: Clear land, remove obstacles, and ensure proper groundwork for construction. + Material Handling: Load, transport, and distribute materials like dirt, gravel, and rock. + Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily inspections, minor repairs, and routine maintenance to keep machinery in top condition. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operation. + 2-3+ years experience operating Excavators, Dozers, and Front End Loaders. + Must be comfortable occasionally working outside the cab. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with grading, dozer, excavator, front end loader, commercial construction, and site development. + Proficiency in using Excavator, Bulldozer, Motor Grader, and heavy equipment. + Skills in heavy equipment operation, fine grading, bulldozer, construction, rough grade, and vibratory rollers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
