Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description

We are seeking experienced Bulldozer and Excavator Operators to join our team for a large-scale solar farm project. Operators will be responsible for performing mass grading, clearing land, building pads, and excavating basins. Experience with pipe or underground utilities is a plus.

ResponsibilitiesOperate bulldozers and excavators for mass grading and land clearing.Build pads and excavate basins on the construction site.Utilize articulated dump trucks for transporting materials.Collaborate with laborers and other team members on-site.Maintain high safety standards and adhere to OSHA regulations.Essential Skills3+ years of experience operating excavators or bulldozers (both preferred).3+ years of experience using articulated dump trucks.Proficiency in fine grading with dozers and excavators.Possession of third-party certifications for bulldozer/excavator or articulated haul trucks.Strong safety awareness and knowledge of OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the solar industry is a plus.Ability to work significant overtime and weekends as needed.Reliability and punctuality are crucial for this role.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position involves working on multiple civil closeout sites as part of a new construction environment. Operators will be exposed to varying weather conditions, including high heat and humidity in the summer. The work schedule is initially 50 hours per week, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with an hour lunch break and short breaks in the morning and afternoon. Appropriate work attire, including PPE gear such as hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, reflective vests, and gloves, is mandatory. Safety is paramount, and adherence to safety protocols is strictly enforced.

This is a Contract position based out of Saluda, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
