**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator**
**Job Description**
As a scraper operator, your primary responsibility will be cutting to grade. You will drive across the terrain, utilizing the scraper to level the earth for the finish dozer hands to complete the fine grading. Your work day will run from 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for Saturday work based on workload and weather conditions. You will be accountable for performing pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of the machine, reporting any concerns to management.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate CAT Challenger Pull Scrapers and Quadtrac Scrapers.
+ Use Single or Dual Wheeled Scrapers and Pull Type Scrapers as needed.
+ Perform pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of the equipment.
+ Report any equipment concerns to management promptly.
+ Ensure safety protocols are followed according to OSHA standards.
+ Maintain communication and awareness of surroundings.
+ Adhere to the Site Code of Conduct with professional behavior.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of experience operating scrapers on a commercial job site.
+ Proficiency in scraper operation and heavy equipment handling.
+ Ability to work in commercial and civil construction environments.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory.
+ Capability to be insured to operate company vehicles.

**Work Environment**
The work environment consists of a civil construction site located in a wide-open space previously used as farmland. The site demands strict adherence to safety protocols following OSHA standards. Expect a high level of activity requiring vigilant communication and awareness. Professional appearance and behavior are mandatory according to the Site Code of Conduct.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
