Job Title: Diesel Technician – Direct Hire

Position Summary:

Aerotek is currently seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a motivated individual with extensive mechanical expertise and a commitment to safety and quality. The Diesel Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel equipment, conducting inspections, and ensuring accurate documentation of all work performed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.Address issues identified during driver pre- and post-trip inspections or as directed by the maintenance manager.Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on diesel equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs.Assemble mechanical components and machinery as needed.Operate diagnostic tools and analyze results to identify and resolve issues.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and procedures.Execute lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safety.Perform test drives to verify repairs and functionality.Carry out tasks such as brake and tire changes, hydraulic repairs, and other vehicle maintenance.Work in various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.Participate in ongoing training to stay current with company products and safety practices.Support the company’s mission, vision, and core values in all job functions.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a diesel technician or mechanic.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and in challenging environments.Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair procedures.High attention to detail and commitment to safety.Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $115000.00/yr.
