Aerotek is hiring immediately for a Mechanic! Join our growing team in Maine as a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic. We are seeking a professional with 2-3 years of experience in inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and other heavy equipment. An active CDL is advantageous and may result in higher pay, as it allows for truck driving responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have experience in dealerships, handling diagnostics and preventative maintenance daily. This position operates on a Monday-Friday, 1st shift schedule, with an additional $3.00 per hour shift differential for night shifts. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair trucks and heavy equipment.Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance.Work collaboratively in a dealership-like environment.Maintain and update records of repairs and maintenance.Drive trucks, if holding a valid CDL.

Essential Skills

2-3 years of experience as a mechanic.Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance.Strong troubleshooting skills.Experience with hydraulics and heavy equipment.Ability to perform preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1-2 years of in-shop mechanic work.Diesel experience is highly beneficial.Possession of a CDL A license is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $115000.00/yr.
