**Heavy Equipment Mechanic** **Job Description** As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will perform service and repair procedures on truck-mounted vacuum equipment in both the shop and field settings. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, requiring occasional travel for field service and training. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. + Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics effectively. + Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air, and water systems. + Conduct repairs within DOT or OEM standards to return rental equipment to 'Ready to Rent' status. + Perform and document inspections of fleet equipment. + Maintain and organize shop and storage areas, ensuring proper storage of flammable items. **Essential Skills** + Solid understanding of the function, operation, and maintenance of truck-mounted vacuum equipment. + Proficiency in mechanical and hydraulic system troubleshooting and electrical diagnostics. + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematics. + Capability to administer DOT inspections. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00/yr.
