**Job Title: Mechanic II**
**Job Description**
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Fleet Operations, the Mechanic II is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment of the fleet of Truss Drivers, a customized drill rig utilizing automation and controls designed specifically for installing foundations for utility-scale solar farms. The Mechanic II will utilize quality control analysis to evaluate the performance of Truss Drivers while ensuring all efforts are compliant with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
+ Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
+ Complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance of Truss Drivers and applicable support equipment.
+ Complete on-site metal fabrication as needed.
+ Provide support to customer mechanics, as needed.
+ Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
+ Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
+ Record repairs and maintenance performed.
+ Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
+ Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
+ Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
+ Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
+ Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
+ Work with Machine Development, Product Development, and Field Applications Engineering teams to integrate feedback into product improvements.
+ Recognize and report safety concerns promptly.
+ Constantly learn and improve personal skillsets.
+ Document equipment issues and repairs such as hours, parts used, travel.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma/GED required
+ Technical diploma or Tradesperson certification are a plus
+ Up to 5 years construction/jobsite experience
+ Up to 5 years Heavy Machinery or similar; drill rigs a plus
+ Previous experience troubleshooting skills in the areas of hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems
+ Experience with controls (encoders, CANBUS, linear transducers, PLC, equipment diagnostics (CAT, Cummins)
+ Welding and fabrication

**Work Environment**
Work primarily involves hands-on repair and maintenance tasks on heavy machinery and equipment. The role requires adherence to safety standards and protocols. Expect to work in various jobsite conditions with the need for protective gear and compliance with dress code policies.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Las Vegas, Nevada.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
