**Job Title: Traveling Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic** Job Description We are seeking two skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our team and travel to construction job sites across the Northeast and Southeast regions, including Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, the Carolinas, and occasionally Georgia. This role involves traveling to a new area every two weeks and requires expertise in diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment. Responsibilities + Utilize computer-based software, service manuals, and electronic engine control diagnostic equipment to diagnose equipment malfunctions. + Inspect vehicles, machines, or equipment to diagnose defects, analyze malfunctions, and determine necessary repairs. + Repair and maintain construction equipment, including skid steers, excavators, hydraulic rigs, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools. + Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency. + Weld or fabricate broken parts and structural members as needed. + Deliver parts, conduct parts research, process work order entries, and perform other duties as assigned by the Equipment Superintendent. + Strictly observe and comply with all established safety standards. Essential Skills + Proficiency in diagnostic testing and troubleshooting heavy equipment. + Experience with hydraulics, hydraulic repairs, and diesel engines. + Strong mechanical, welding, and fabrication skills. + Ability to research and understand technical data, wiring, vacuum, air, and hydraulic diagrams. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr. You earn travel time to each project, $50/day meal assistance and then travel time to get home two weeks later. Your hotel room is paid for and in addition to your hourly rate, you are working consistent overtime. Our rate of pay is generally between $35 and $45/hour depending on your experience.
