**Description** Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled **Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanics** for projects located in and around **Red Springs, NC** . This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of **$28-32/hour** based on experience & skill level. If you are a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Diagnose, repair, & maintain heavy machinery + Perform scheduled maintenance repairs & inspections while ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely + Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, & tire rotations + Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems + Identify extent of needed repairs + Repair or replace defective parts & systems + Overhaul & test major components such as engines, hydraulic systems, & electrical systems + Provide field service and answer service calls + Maintain logs of equipment condition & work performed + Ensure all work is performed safely + Consult with customers + Read work orders & determine work require + Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established district, county, state, & federal regulations + Other tasks as assigned **Requirements:** + 2+ Years of Experience + Strong Mechanical Skills + Knowledge of Diesel Engines, Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, & other Mechanical Systems + Ability to read Blueprints & Schematics + Problem Solving Skills + Communication Skills **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
