Job Description
The heat treat operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, responsible for operating a heat treat furnace and using a forklift to load screws into the furnace. This role is physically demanding, requiring the candidate to stand for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
ResponsibilitiesOperate the heat treat furnace to process screws.Use a forklift to load screws into the furnace.Ensure the proper functioning of heat treat equipment.Stand and perform duties for at least 8 hours daily.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude and inclination.Experience with machine operation, ideally in a heat treat operator role.Ability to stand and work for extended periods.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in racking, construction, or stamping press.Prior experience in pipes, HVAC, or plumbing which is transferable to heat treating.Oil change and general mechanical knowledge.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work within a state-of-the-art heat treat facility, standing for 12 hours during weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Collaborate with fellow heat treat operators in a temperature-controlled environment as new racking rooms are constructed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
