Where You’ll Work
This position is based in our Lenexa, KS office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
What You’ll Do The Healthcare Data Analyst partners with hospital staff, clinical leaders, operational managers, and internal stakeholders to analyze and interpret complex clinical, operational, and financial data. This role transforms data into actionable insights that drive improvements in patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep understanding of healthcare data, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non?technical audiences.
+ Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends and insights, connecting changes in operational metrics to broader business performance, and craft compelling narratives that inform stakeholders and drive strategic decision-making
+ Collaborate with SMEs, Member Services, and Data Governance teams to deliver insights across CHA data programs.
+ Design and implement analytical solutions tailored to specific stakeholders’ needs.
+ Validate data presented to hospital members, including metric calculations and report outputs.
+ Support initiatives to document and improve the quality of CHA?collected data.
+ Partner with statistics and data governance teams to apply pediatric?focused methodologies.
+ Ensure compliance with data governance policies and maintain data integrity, security, and privacy.
+ Assist hospital staff and CHA employees in directly accessing and utilizing CHA data resources.
+ Build custom analytic datasets and cohorts in response to data requests.
+ Provide subject matter expertise to support the creation and maintenance of training materials for direct data access.
+ Support the delivery of training sessions for hospital and CHA staff on accessing and using CHA data.
Required Experience:
What You’ll Bring to CHA
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field.
+ Minimum 3 years’ experience in healthcare data analysis.
+ Understanding of hospital operations, revenue cycle, quality outcomes, or clinical workflows.
+ Experience working with healthcare claims, EHR extracts, clinical registries, or administrative datasets.
+ Knowledge of healthcare terminologies, classification systems, and payment systems (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT / HCPCS, ICD-9-CM, APR-DRGs, MS-DRGs, RBRVS, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RXNorm)
+ Knowledge of database concepts
+ Strong SQL skills
+ Proficiency with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
+ Experience with analytical tools is preferred (Python, R, SAS, or similar)
+ Familiarity with EHR systems is preferred (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.)
+ Knowledge of value?based care, population health programs, and CMS quality measures is preferred.
+ Strong problem?solving and critical?thinking abilities.
+ Ability to build relationships with clinicians, administrators, and technical teams.
+ Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Excellent project and time management skills.

More About CHA
This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $70,000 Max: $120,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
