The Position

The Opportunity

The Health System Partner (HSP) is a strategic role responsible for shaping the healthcare environment to ensure sustainable patient access to Roche portfolio and innovation. The role focuses on the macro level of the health system, and is responsible for building and maintaining collaborative long term relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, policy makers, payers and decision makers in order to identify shared purpose and value, co-create solutions and co-implement them across the health system. 
Value in this role is defined as our capacity to position Roche portfolio as solutions to improve patient outcomes and enhance health system resource allocation ultimately leading to more patients getting fast access to innovation in a sustainable way.  

Main Responsibilities

- Generate profound insights into the health system’s strategic priorities, financial drivers, and patient pathways to inform long-term access planning and identify opportunities for environmental shaping.
- Drive and advocate for strategic policy positions that foster health system sustainability while accelerating the adoption of innovative therapies.
- Partner with Health Technology Assessment (HTA) bodies to shift the focus toward \"value-based\" healthcare, emphasizing the importance of societal value and long-term clinical outcomes in decision-making.
- Serve as a primary strategic point of contact to build and maintain trusted, non-transactional partnerships with key decision-makers, payers, and regulators through rigorous stakeholder mapping and engagement management.
- Locally adapt Health Economics and Budget Impact Models justifying the value of Roche Portfolio to different payer segments.
- Coordinate internal resources (Medical Affairs, Patient Journey Partners (PJP), Pricing etc..) and deliver insights to PJPs and Disease Area teams on the health system's decision-making structure and payer policies to feed into disease area strategies and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Proactively leverage the internal global and regional network to identify, adapt, and scale international best practices that accelerate local health system goals and drive innovation
- Drive the Patient Support Programs and Patient Solutions design and implementation in alignment with internal stakeholders (PJPs, medical affairs, safety and business value partner and external stakeholders).

Who you are

Required Qualifications and Experience

- University degree in Pharmacy is preferred. Degree or master’s degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Public Policy or related fields.
- Health System Acumen: Proven ability to engage at the senior executive level and influence national-level healthcare policy or secure major reimbursement milestones.
- Experience working in or with Ministry of Health structures or major insurance bodies.
- Understanding of health economics model and evidence generation. 
- Fluent in Arabic and English
