Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

This position will provide the Corporate Real Estate, Facilities Maintenance and Lab Testing Services [CREFM/LTS] organization with Health and Safety (H&S) program support. The Health & Safety Coordinator - Facilities implements and supports safety & health programs under the direction of the Manager- Work Control / EH&S and provides support and guidance to CFM management and bargaining unit associates to ensure compliance with Federal and State safety and health regulations as well as PSEG Industrial Safety Policies / procedures.

Job Responsibilities The Health & Safety Coordinator - Facilities is responsible for overall H&S support for all CREFM/LTS associates and lends their subject matter expertise in providing advice, guidance and counsel for CREFM/LTS associates in the General Office and other locations supported by CREFM/LTS personnel.   The Health & Safety Coordinator - Facilities will also participate as appropriate with local H&S councils and LOB H&S councils in all areas of health and safety including practices, procedures, standards, incident investigations and communication of reports and recommendations, implementation/adherence to the Company’s H&S system components and management directives. Work with CREFM/LTS management and bargaining unit associates to identify and mitigate hazards using field assessments, performs and participates in field audits, inspections and assessments of safety programs and processes, and recommends/implements corrective actions. Develop and maintain safety and health communications and programs in compliance with company policy. Develop hazard control methods and programs including analyzing and review existing work procedures to establish new methodologies and procedures to improve business and safety operations. Develop, implement and monitor health and safety training that meets company requirements. Provide input for OSHA record keeping and ensure proper record keeping and data entry. Provide timely and effective H&S messages to maintain high awareness levels, reducing hazards and the potential for on-the-job injuries and motor vehicle collisions. Perform analysis and audit of H&S statistics to keep abreast of trends and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Responsible and accountable for improvement in health and safety scorecard measures and progress toward top decile H&S performance. Participate on special project teams and coordinate implementation of new programs Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

2-4 years Safety experience including working in field environments such as buildings and construction sites.    Strong leadership, adaptability, decision making, problem solving, teamwork, communications, client/customer satisfaction focus skills Knowledge of OSHA regulations and relevant consensus standards i.e. ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication and persuasive interpersonal skills and strong analytical and presentation skills Must have a valid drivers’ license Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices

Desired:

Associate’s Degree preferably in a business. Business or Secretarial School, Secretarial Science Degree, and/or College level secretarial courses.
