The Safety and Health Advisor is responsible for driving a contemporary safety, health, and risk management culture throughout the organization by assisting in the implementation of objectives, process improvement initiatives, risk management and reporting systems at all locations. This role pro-actively partners with supervisors, managers, and employees across a diverse range of departments and offices to enable solutions and builds organizational capability in line with local legal requirements, best practice, and system requirements.

Job Duties

·      Oversee and execute all safety-related training for new hires and existing employees.

·      Translate safety materials and serve as on-site bilingual support (Spanish/English).

·      Implement the Group Safety Management System and assist the operational leads in the transfer of safety management responsibility to all levels within the operational sites, whilst maintaining Subject Matter Expert (SME) support and leadership to site management to meet goals and objectives.

·      Reinforce leadership accountability in implementing safety protocols and root-cause problem-solving.

·      Monitor and continuously improve safety systems and processes.

·      Walk the production floor 40–50% of the time to observe, engage, coach, and spot opportunities.

·      Develop or refine safety programs and contribute new ideas.

·      Partner closely with Plant Manager and department leads to align safety goals with operations. 

Skills & Requirements

·      4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.

·      Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and report writing skills.

·      Proven experience in health & safety implementation, not just documentation.

·      Strong facilitator and trainer across all organizational levels.

·      Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).

·      Cal/OSHA 30 certification preferred.

·      Track record of influence, adaptability, and working with tough personalities or resistant environments.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position that requires being on the manufacturing floor 40 - 50% of the time. There are a couple of different schedule options that could include 6:30 am - 3:30 pm (1 hour lunch), 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (30-minute lunch), and 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (30-minute lunch).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
