**Job Title: Health and Safety Representative** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Representative to ensure the safety and compliance of our work environments. This role involves conducting site inspections, developing safety plans, training workers, and maintaining safety records to meet regulatory standards. **Responsibilities** + Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety standards. + Develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and emergency response protocols. + Train workers on safety practices, equipment use, and hazard communication. + Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. + Maintain safety records and reports for audits and regulatory compliance. + Liaise with regulatory agencies and company leadership to uphold environmental and safety standards. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in OSHA regulations and safety standards. + Experience with heavy equipment operation including dozers, excavators, and front-end loaders. + Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and risk management. + Excellent communication and leadership skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. + Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or OSHA 30-hour Construction Training. **Why Work Here?** Join a team committed to safety and excellence in construction and environmental management. Work is conducted outdoors in all weather conditions, with project locations throughout New Jersey and occasionally in the Tri-State area. Our team consists of approximately 30 employees, including project managers, equipment operators, and field technicians. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Carteret, New Jersey. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
