Health, Safety, & Environmental Manager
**About the Role:** As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you willbe in charge of creating and implementing health, safety, and environmentalprograms for small to medium-sized clients. This job is part of the Environment Health and Safetyfunction. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures tosafeguard employees and surrounding communities **What You’ll Do:** + Promote a positive and proactive culture toinfluence stakeholders, and to ensure compliance. + Assist with implementing and reviewingplaybooks, and procedures. Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiativesdrive program consistency and efficiency across direct employees and on-site third-partysuppliers. + Responsible for overseeing HSE responsibilitiesin High Voltage Operations to ensure the safe execution of all work involvinghigh-tension (high voltage) electrical systems. + Develop, implement, and maintain electricalsafety programs including LOTO, Energized Work Permit Program, Arc-flashprotection and high-voltage work practices. + Manage HSE program compliance to comply withOSHA 1910 & 1926, NFPA 70E, NEC and applicable NYC local and NY state andfederal regulations. + Manage all training and compliance requirementsassociated with the use of the on-site high-lift equipment. + Conduct HSE hazard identification inspectionsand effectively implement programs focused on leading indicators. + Oversee MEWP and Working at Heights Program. + Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal,and compliance requirements. + Track operational and safety risks. Develop andmanage strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents. + Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports.Provide recommendations on how to prevent risk. Lead and report injuryinvestigations, near misses, and high-potential events. + Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmentalregulatory compliance within the account. Work with management to createstrategic solutions that improve and maintain compliance as required. + Work with stakeholders to identify potentialconcerns. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsiblefunctional managers. + Lead by example and model behaviors that areconsistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests toreach an agreement. + Apply knowledge of own discipline and how owndiscipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. + Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-dayand moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existingsystems and processes. + Conduct all fall protection training andcompliance of on-site employees and third-party suppliers **What You’ll Need:** + Additional certifications as required by thelocal authority. + Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive,complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations andhandle problems. + Leadership skills to motivate team impact onquality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. + Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state andlocal health and safety, and environmental regulations is essential. + Direct experience dealing with regulatoryagencies and / or compliance officers is preferred. + NFPA 70E Certification Required + Experience providing HSE oversight for NEC andNFPA requirements + QEW HSE oversight experience and QEWCertification preferred + Extensive OSHA 1910 & 1926 knowledgerequired + Fall Protection Competent Person and Train theTrainer Certification Preferred + Experience with MEWP & FL Program Requiredand MEWP &/or FL Training Certification Preferred + Experience working in high-riseconstruction/safety, HSE facility maintenance and management is preferred. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. **Why CBRE** When you join CBRE, you become part of the global leader incommercial real estate services and investment that helps businesses and peoplethrive. The minimum salary for the Health, Safety, & Environmental Manager position is $130,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Health, Safety, & Environmental Manager position is $160,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
