In this role, you will help to architect strategy, champion operational excellence, and elevate performance across every facet of our business. You won’t just set the direction—you’ll roll up your sleeves to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage a dynamic portfolio, and ensure financial discipline that drives real results. As the right hand to our Global Platforms CTO, you’ll collaborate with regional Strategy & Planning, Finance, and key stakeholders worldwide, turning bold ideas into tangible impact. Your leadership will be critical in translating vision into action, optimizing organizational effectiveness, and ensuring we operate at the top of our game. Success in this fast-paced, high-impact environment requires flexibility and a global mindset. You’ll have the opportunity to travel—up to 20% of your time—to engage with executive leadership and support strategic priorities wherever they arise. In this role, you will:
Serve as the CTO's strategic advisor and trusted confidant, providing counsel on organizational priorities, strategic decisions, and complex business challengesRepresent the CTO in critical technology forums, making executive decisions and driving alignment across stakeholdersEngineer and execute the CTO’s strategic technology agenda, removing barriers and accelerating delivery of key initiativesSynthesize and deliver executive-level technology presentations, briefings, and communications for leadership and Board audiencesOrchestrate cross-functional technology programs and enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and measurable outcomesOptimize organizational effectiveness by redesigning technology processes, communication flows, and decision-making frameworksGovern technology portfolio and project management standards, ensuring data integrity and resource optimization in Clarity PPMDirect operational excellence initiatives, leveraging KPIs and analytics to drive continuous improvement and technology scalabilityOversee technology financial management, including planning, forecasting, spend control, and vendor contract governanceChampion organizational transformation and change management, fostering collaboration and advancing technology talent strategyBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred12+ years of progressive experience in strategic operations, management consulting, or technology leadership roles, with preference for insurance and/or technology domain experience10+ years of related and extensive IT experience encompassing strategy, operations, and project/program/portfolio management, with a track record of managing large portfolios or programs involving multiple business stakeholdersProven success as a Head of Strategy & Operations, Business Office leader, or senior operational role supporting C-level executives, including building and leading strategy and operations functionsDemonstrated ability to lead strategy development and execution in complex organizations, including large-scale, cross-functional initiatives and top-tier consulting experienceExpertise in designing and implementing operational frameworks, KPIs, metrics, and performance management systems to drive accountability and resultsStrong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting in complex environmentsExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to distill complex information, build relationships with senior leaders, and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groupsDemonstrated change leadership and adaptability, with the ability to drive organizational transformation and navigate ambiguity in fast-paced environmentsTechnical proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel), and familiarity with tools such as Clarity PPM, PeopleSoft Financial, Apptio, and SharePoint
The pay range for the role is $200,000 to $210,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
