Head of SSIM India Finance and Lead for AUM

Who we are looking for

The Head of India Finance and Lead for Assets Under Management (AUM) is a “dual-hatted” MD level position based in India and responsible for having oversight over all State Street Investment Management (SSIM) Finance functions based in India, which include FP&A teams supporting all the IM distribution, Operations and IT, the Business Office and Investment organizations. The IM finance team in India also includes an infrastructure and MIS/Digital team. AUM is a mission‑critical metric for SSIM, serving as the foundation for management reporting, statutory financial disclosures, and regulatory filings, and enabling accurate performance measurement, fee calculations, business forecasting, and transparency across internal and external stakeholders. This role will report dually to the GA CFO and Head of SSIM India.

SSIM is the asset management division of State Street and is the fourth largest asset manager in the world, with ~$5.7 trillion in assets under management, including close to $2 trillion in ETFs. What you will be responsible for

As the MD Head of India Finance and Lead for AUM you will

Be responsible for overall oversight, leadership and mentoring for the India Finance team which consists of ~25 FP&A and MIS staffOwn the end‑to‑end calculation, validation, reconciliation and reporting of AUM across all products, strategies, vehicles, wrappers, geographies, and legal entities.Generates daily, monthly, and quarterly AUM and related metrics such as NNA and ANNR used for management reporting, including performance analytics, business reviews, forecasting, and KPI tracking for senior leadership.Support fee billing and revenue recognition by providing accurate asset levels used to calculate management fees, sub‑advisory fees, platform fees, index license fees and other AUM‑based commercial arrangements.Maintains authoritative AUM data governance, runs controls and reconciliations across custodians, accounting systems, market data sources, and internal platforms to ensure completeness, timeliness, and integrity of AUM.Partner with FP&A, SEC reporting, Regulatory, Product, Client Coverage, and Strategy teams to supply AUM insights for budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning, SI tracking, business case development, statutory and regulatory reporting.Drive continuous improvement in AUM processes, automation, controls, and system enhancements across global SSIM operations.Support SSIM India business leadership.Attract, develop, motivate and retain a diverse next generation of Finance talent across the broader India Finance team.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Broad IT, Finance & Accounting global leadership experience with 15+ years of experience including FP&A, IT project management, working in financial servicesExperience managing large teamsExperience overseeing business unit planning and budgeting process, and experience with management reporting processes as well as IT projectsHas served as a key advisor to senior business leaders and executivesProven and successful track record of implementing key financial and business prioritiesAsset Management experience and Lean Six Sigma qualifications a plus
