This role leads an integrated coverage and service model that brings together Small Business sales teams that serve clients on AFS Ncino lending platform, ensuring one cohesive Truist experience for clients from $2 -$10MM in annual revenue. The executive will have direct accountability for approximately 45 thousand Tier 2 and Tier 3 relationship clients, $12B in deposits, and $5B in loans, including full P&L responsibility for growth, profitability, and portfolio quality. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** _Segment Leadership, Strategy_ • Set the strategic direction for Tier 2 and Tier 3 Small Business clients, including market coverage, segmentation, and client prioritization across the region. • Develop and execute a multi-year growth plan that aligns balance, revenue, and fee-income targets with Truist’s broader Small Business and Commercial Banking strategy. • Own performance for approximately 45 thousand Tier 2 and Tier 3 relationship clients, including 12B in deposits and 5B in loans, with clear accountability for growth, returns, and risk-adjusted profitability. • Translate enterprise strategy into clear field priorities, sales plays, and scorecards for all Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets and teams. _Integrated Coverage & Service Model_ • Lead the management of Small Business sales teams with AFS Ncino lending platform, ensuring standardized processes, policies, and tools. • Create and maintain a regional coverage model that aligns relationship managers, calling officers, and service resources to clients. • Ensure Tier 2 and Tier 3 leaders are aligned under single structure. • Partner with Regional and Market Presidents, Branch Banking Executives and related product partners. _Sales Leadership & Execution_ • Deliver against all sales outcomes and drive disciplined sales management including calling activity, pipeline and forecast. • Establish consistent sales rhythm. • Design sales campaigns to grow business. • Provide hands-on coaching. _Attrition Loan Execution & Portfolio Management_ • Deliver on attrition loan strategy, established by Head of Business Banking Lending • Implement outreach and win-back. • Ensure strong credit discipline. • Monitor portfolio and take action. _SBA Platform & Segment Professionalization_ • Serve as senior sponsor for SBA platform including policy and efficiency. • Integrate SBA products into sales playbooks. • Partner with underwriting and operations to transform SBA opportunity • Professionalize segment and Major Brands strategy. _Partnership with Lending Platform Owner_ • Support Wholesale Credit Modernization and all CLU initiatives with Head of Lending • Align strategies with capabilities with a focus on outcomes, improving throughput and efficiency • Prioritize tactical and strategic improvements _Governance, Risk & Controls_ • Ensure compliance. • Establish governance routines. • Lead reviews with Risk, Compliance. _Talent, Culture & Leadership_ • Build and lead high-performing team and own clarity for poor performance quickly • Attract and retain talent. • Foster culture of accountability. • Model Truist values. **QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED** • Bachelor’s degree. • 15+ years' experience. • Leadership of dispersed organization • Growth track record. • Lending platform experience. • Strategic planning. • Exec communication. **QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED** • Credit and Lending experience • FINRA 79, 63 and 24 • Advanced degree **General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation:** All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
