Uber
**#GreatMindsDon’tThinkAlike** At Uber, we take pride in our diversity and working environment that sees you as more than just a person who can do the job, but a unique individual who can level up our organisation with a perspective only you can offer. Uber provides a truly open culture that encourages everyone to voice their thoughts.
**About the Team:**
Uber Eats has been a market leader in Online Food Delivery for the past five years. While many Aussies and Kiwis have ordered a meal through us, there are many others who could benefit from our products and services. **#GoGetIt** embodies the attitude and mindset of Delivery at Uber. We provide the best possible customer experience for our consumers, while facilitating growth and earnings for our merchants and delivery partners.
Restaurants are at the heart of Uber Eats, and ANZ is one of our most established and high-performing markets globally. With a diverse restaurant ecosystem spanning global brands, franchise groups, and local independents, the ANZ Acquisition team plays a critical role in sustaining growth and unlocking new opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.
As ANZ enters its next phase of growth, the focus shifts from pure expansion to scaling productivity, improving funnel efficiency, and evolving our go-to-market approach across channels. The Acquisition team is central to this mission, ensuring we bring the right merchants onto the platform, in the right way, at the right cost, while setting them up for long-term success. This is an opportunity to lead one of Uber Eats’ most impactful commercial teams in a highly competitive, mature market.
**About the Role:**
As Head of Acquisition, ANZ, you will own the end-to-end merchant acquisition strategy and execution across Australia and New Zealand. This role is a core pillar of the ANZ go-to-market engine, responsible for driving sustainable growth through best-in-class acquisition productivity, channel optimisation, and scalable sales systems.
You will lead a large, multi-layered organisation and work closely with cross-functional partners including Account Management, Marketing, Operations, Marketplace, and Finance. Your mandate is to materially improve acquisition efficiency and impact, from lead generation through onboarding and early lifecycle outcomes.
You will report to the Head of APAC Commercial for Uber Eats and sit on the APAC leadership team, playing a critical role in shaping regional strategy, organisation design, and execution priorities.
**What You’ll Do:**
- **Own ANZ Acquisition Strategy:** Define and execute the end-to-end acquisition strategy across Australia and New Zealand, setting clear priorities by segment and channel to balance growth, efficiency, and merchant quality.
- **Drive Productivity and Funnel Excellence:** Lead funnel optimisation from lead generation through onboarding and activation, implementing scalable sales processes, tooling, and enablement to materially improve productivity across all acquisition channels.
- **Build and Lead a High-Performing Organisation:** Lead and develop a large organisation, building a strong leadership bench with clear accountability, coaching standards, and performance management.
- **Partner to Unlock Growth:** Work closely with Account Management, Marketing, Marketplace, and Operations to ensure newly acquired merchants are set up for long-term success and aligned with broader ANZ commercial priorities.
- **Operate with Data and Rigour:** Establish clear performance metrics and reporting frameworks, using insights to identify bottlenecks, make trade-offs, and drive fast, data-informed iteration at scale.
**What You Will Bring:**
- Extensive experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading large, complex organisations with multi-layered leadership structures.
- Strong track record of improving sales productivity and scaling execution in mature or highly competitive markets.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed organisation.
- Exceptional problem-solving ability and executional rigour, with comfort operating in ambiguity.
