Head of Office – Batam We are looking for a Head of Office – Batam to lead and grow Aon Indonesia’s presence in Batam. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategy, growth, and client service delivery across all Aon solution lines, while establishing and expanding the Batam office as a key part of Aon Indonesia’s broader business. The role will work closely with colleagues in Jakarta and regional teams and offers flexibility through a hybrid working arrangement. What the day will look like As Head of Office – Batam, you will be accountable for the overall leadership, growth, and strategic development of Aon Indonesia’s Batam branch. This includes setting the local market strategy, driving revenue growth across all solution lines, and ensuring high-quality client service delivery for Batam-based clients. The role is strongly market-facing, acting as Aon’s senior representative and “door opener” in Batam, building and maintaining senior client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and coordinating closely with Jakarta-based and regional teams to deliver integrated Aon solutions. You will also play a critical people leadership and management role, responsible for building, leading, and developing the local Batam team over time. As the office grows, you will shape the team structure, develop local capabilities, and ensure alignment with Aon Indonesia’s national strategy, governance standards, and culture. Role & Responsibilities + Lead and represent Aon Indonesia’s Batam office, acting as the senior local leader and primary point of contact for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. + Drive the growth, strategy, and expansion of the Batam branch across all Aon solution lines, in alignment with Aon Indonesia and regional priorities. + Develop and maintain strong senior client relationships, positioning Aon as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for cross-solution engagement. + Open doors with prospective clients and support new business development, working closely with Jakarta-based and regional teams for solution design, placement, and delivery. + Ensure effective local client service delivery, coordinating with broking, client service, and specialist teams to deliver seamless, high-quality outcomes. + Build, manage, and develop the Batam team, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management as the office grows and evolves. + Establish scalable operating practices for the Batam office, ensuring strong governance, risk management, and compliance with local regulatory requirements, including OJK standards. + Promote and embed a Deliver Aon United (DAU) culture, fostering collaboration across local, national, and regional teams. + Provide regular market insights, performance updates, and reporting to senior management to support strategic decision-making and future investment. Skills and experience that will lead to success + 5–10+ years of experience in leadership, sales, business development, or market-facing roles within insurance, risk advisory, consulting, or professional services. + Demonstrated experience leading business growth, market expansion, or office/portfolio-level responsibility. + Meets minimum regulatory requirements as stipulated by the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) and other relevant authorities. + Proven people leadership capability, with experience managing, building, or scaling teams over time. + Strong ability to build senior client relationships, open doors, and drive revenue growth across multiple solution lines. + Excellent consultative selling, communication, and stakeholder management skills. + Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into actionable local plans. + Highly motivated, accountable, and aligned to organisational goals, with the credibility to represent Aon at a senior level in the market.
