Head of Marketing – Customer Growth (Acquisition, Retention & Engagement), Amazon MX Player
Amazon
Description
Amazon has made a bold move to redefine entertainment in India. With the acquisition of MX Player, we’ve brought together two of the country’s largest free streaming platforms — Amazon miniTV and MX Player — to launch Amazon MX Player, India’s new destination for premium, free ad-supported content.
Now reaching over 250 million users monthly, Amazon MX Player is Amazon India’s flagship AVOD (Ad-supported Video on Demand) service — combining world-class storytelling, unmatched scale, and innovative monetization. We've launched some of the biggest shows India has seen — including Aashram, Hip Hop India, Jamnapaar, Half CA and more - and won national and international awards for our marketing innovation.
We are looking for a seasoned Product Marketing Leader to drive the next phase of our growth. This high-impact leadership role will own the end-to-end customer lifecycle — from acquisition and activation to engagement and retention.
What You Will Own:
- Drive customer growth strategy across channels
- Lead full-funnel marketing, balancing brand building with efficiency
- Manage the overall marketing budget and investment priorities
- Drive data-backed decision-making through experimentation, analytics, and insights
- Collaborate cross-functionally with content, product, tech, analytics and monetization teams
- Mentor and grow a high-performing marketing team
- Help shape product and content investments by bringing the voice of the customer into strategic discussions
- Showcase marketing innovation in external forums
Who You Are:
- A strategic, data-driven leader with 10–15 years of experience in marketing (preferably in digital media, OTT, online consumer brands, or consumer tech)
- Someone who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Equally comfortable with hands-on execution and high-level strategy
- Passionate about storytelling, entertainment, and the future of digital content
This isn’t just another marketing role. It’s an opportunity to help shape the future of free entertainment in India — at a scale only few can match.
