As the Head of Internal Communications within the Commercial Bank you will lead Internal Communications for the Commercial Banking (CB) business, serve emerging startups to mid-corporate businesses as well as government entities, not-for-profit organizations, and commercial real estate investors, developers and owners. You will work closely with key partners to lead and execute on the internal communications and employee engagement strategy to support the Commercial Bank business and its senior leadership team. In addition, you will support key focus areas to include conveying Commercial Bank’s business priorities to internal stakeholders, fostering a connected and cohesive culture, and managing and evolving key internal communications channels to keep the sales team (bankers) informed through newsletters, Town Halls, organizational announcements, Intranet stories, etc. 

 

Job responsibilities:

 

Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with business goals. Manage and evolve key internal communications channels, including a weekly newsletter, Town Halls, organizational announcements, Intranet stories, etc. Collaborate with key internal partners to effectively support the business, including other Communications teams, Sales & Business Enablement, Business Management, Marketing, etc. Lead a high performing team of internal communicators to maintain consistent standards of excellence, create and formalize best practices, etc. Measure and track key metrics to monitor results and identify areas for improvement.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

 

 8+ years of experience in corporate internal communications, with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, communications, journalism, or related fields. Strategic communication: Ability to develop and implement cohesive and effective communication strategies that resonate with key audiences. Excellent writing and editing abilities and verbal communications skills. Storytelling expertise: Passion for storytelling, simplifying complex topics, and leading narratives that support business goals. Creativity: Desire to bring creativity and new ideas to communications projects and tactics. Project Management: Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy and quality in all communications. Problem Solving: Analytical and strategic mindset for addressing challenges and finding solutions. Adaptability: Internally motivated, empathetic, and ready to embrace new opportunities and challenges with flexibility. Relationship building: Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective partnerships across teams and with stakeholders. Industry knowledge: In-depth understanding of the financial services industry.
