JPMC’s Global Incentives Group (“GIG”) execute and maximize a diverse pool of incentive, real estate tax appeal, energy, and tax credit programs for all corporate strategies, retail strategies, capital investment projects, and business as usual operational activities in Global Real Estate. Savings are achieved through negotiations with various levels of governmental entities for discretionary incentives, researching statutory savings programs, filing for statutory tax credits and energy rebates, reviewing federal, state, and local tax code, and appealing real estate taxes.
As the Head of Global Incentives and Real Estate Tax, you will oversee all aspects of incentive, real estate tax appeals and payments, energy, and tax credit programs for JPMC’s worldwide operations. You will lead a high-performing team, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and ensure the firm’s compliance and strategic advantage through innovative management. Your work will be pivotal in supporting capital investment, operational excellence, and sustainability across the firm’s global footprint.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the Global Incentives Group, setting strategic direction and managing all incentive, real estate tax, and energy programs for JPMC’s global operations Oversee negotiations with governmental entities for discretionary incentives and statutory savings programs Build frameworks for identifying and capturing new incentives in U.S. and international markets and direct research and execution of tax credits and incentives, energy rebates, and real estate tax appeals Ensure compliance with all incentive program contracts, legal statutes, and JPMC’s Sworn Document policy Oversee real estate tax payments, preparation and review of all real estate tax filings and manage tax appeals for owned and net lease global portfolio Manage RFP processes and vendor relationships for incentives, energy, and real estate tax consultants Manage procurement and interpretation of economic impact studies Lead cross-functional collaboration with Global Regions, Global Function and Corporate Functions including Legal, Finance, Government Relations and Human Resources. Work with Finance and Accounting to provide tax payment projections and updated accruals Drive process improvements and modernization of reporting frameworks and compliance tracking Develop and deliver professional presentations for senior management and executive leadership Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence, compliance, and innovation
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required 15+ years of experience in incentives, real estate tax, or related fields, with multinational corporation or consulting firm experience Proven track record of negotiating business incentive deals and managing compliance for large organizations Experience managing third party providers for both incentives and tax payments and appeals Advanced knowledge of business and energy incentives at federal, state, local, and international levels In depth understanding of all aspects surrounding New York City Industrial & Commercial Abatement (“ICAP”) program Expertise in real estate tax, tax modelling, valuation techniques, and compliance processes Strong communication skills including ability to communicate cross functional, technical tax issues to non-tax professionals Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills Flexibility to work across global time zones Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project)

Degree preference for accounting, finance or related field Master’s degree (JD, MBA, MST, or CMI designation) Experience with non-U.S. tax and incentive programs UK and international real estate tax experience (APAC, EMEA, LATAM) Experience with cost segregation studies and capital allowance projects.
