**Snapshot of your day** As the Head of Manufacturing, you are responsible for leading an exceptional organization that produces and services Gimpel valves. Our product offers protection and safety to customers of steam turbine generators and API 611 & 612 steam turbine drives. Gimpel is a fast-moving and growing business unit within the Steam Turbine & Generators (STG). **How You’ll Make an Impact:** + Strengthen our Zero Harm safety culture by bringing in newperspective and enhanced focus + Demonstrate strong leadership which help uscontinuously improve operational performance, grow our people and meetcustomer & business commitments + Lead and implement process optimization and lean manufacturingmethodologies + Think beyond manufacturing and lead cross-functional effortsthat will help us achieve high levels of performance and customersatisfaction + Take charge of customer critical issues and guide the teamon how to navigate them while focused on achieving desired outcome. Decisivelytaking actions to address performance or discipline issues + Manage the financial aspects of the business such as absorption,utilization, revenue, non-conformance cost, CapEx and OpEx + Incorporate digital solutions within all areas of thebusiness **What You Bring** + Successfully completed degree in MechanicalEngineering, Industrial Engineering or similar + 5 or more years of demonstrated leadership in overseeing machining andassembly operations + 5 or more years of intercultural teams’ managementexperience + Proven Lean Manufacturing implementation experience,certification in Lean is an advantage + Strong communication skills to different levels of theorganization + Commitment to Safety as the strongest value in yourteam + Experience in driving continuous improvement activitiesand track record of delivering operational performance improvement,particularly in areas of OTD, quality and cost **About the Team** **Transformationof Industry** Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector.
