About the role
Purpose of the Role
The Head of Distribution is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the company’s distribution network to drive profitable growth, market penetration, and sustainable performance. The role ensures strong relationships with intermediaries and partners while aligning distribution strategy with the company’s commercial and risk objectives.


Key Responsibilities
Distribution Strategy & Growth
• Define and execute the distribution strategy in line with company objectives, with a strong focus on profitable growth.
• Identify and prioritize high-value channels, partners, and customer segments.
• Drive penetration in targeted markets while maintaining underwriting and pricing discipline.
• Channel & Partner Management
• Manage and develop relationships with brokers, agents, and other distribution partners.
• Set clear performance expectations and monitor productivity, quality, and profitability.
• Lead negotiations and commercial agreements with key partners.
• Sales Performance & Execution
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable sales plans and targets.
• Monitor KPIs including production, loss ratios, retention, and profitability.
• Implement corrective actions where performance or quality deviates from targets.


Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, coach, and develop the distribution team to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Foster a performance-driven culture with clear ownership and decision-making.
• Ensure alignment and collaboration with underwriting, pricing, claims, and operations.


Market & Competitive Insight
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
• Adapt distribution approaches to changing and more rigid market conditions.
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities impacting distribution effectiveness.


Governance & Compliance
• Ensure all distribution activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Support strong governance, reporting, and transparency across the distribution network.


What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Economic, commercial, Engineering, or related fields.
• Proven experience in distribution, sales, or commercial leadership within insurance or financial services.
• Strong understanding of broker-led and multi-channel distribution models.
• Deep understanding of the local market, regulator frameworks, distribution channels, and competitive dynamics.
• Strategic Leadership: Strong business vision, decision-making ability and focus on achieving sustainable results

• Advanced English language (oral & written) is a must
