+ **AI Governance Framework:** Implement the NTT DATA Inc. **AI governance framework** that embeds ethical principles, accountability, and transparency into AI systems. Define and update policies, standards, and guidelines for responsible AI development and usage, aligned with both corporate IT governance frameworks and industry best practices.
+ **Risk Management:** Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI solutions (e.g., biases, security vulnerabilities, privacy concerns, operational risks). Establish an **AI risk register** and lead regular risk and KRI review processes. Implement controls and **audit mechanisms** to ensure AI systems remain within the company’s risk appetite and comply with all relevant standards.
+ **Regulatory & Policy Compliance:** Ensure that all AI activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape for AI (such as data protection laws and emerging AI regulations) and update the organization’s AI compliance program accordingly. Prepare documentation and evidence for audits or assessments, demonstrating the company’s adherence to **AI governance policies and external regulations** .
+ **Ethical AI Oversight:** Champion ethical AI usage throughout the organization. Set up procedures for algorithmic accountability, including **AI ethics reviews, bias testing, and fairness assessments** before AI tools are deployed. Continuously monitor AI models in production for ethical compliance and take corrective action if issues are identified.
+ **Cross-Functional Leadership:** Lead a cross-functional AI governance committee or working group. Collaborate closely with AI Development and Build teams, business IT teams, Information Security, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Enterprise Architecture and business unit teams to **integrate governance and compliance checkpoints** into their AI and data analytics projects. Provide guidance and training to ensure all stakeholders understand AI policies and their responsibilities in maintaining compliance.
+ **Monitoring & Reporting:** Define metrics and monitoring processes to track the effectiveness of AI governance efforts. Regularly report on AI risk exposure (KRIs), compliance status, and incidents to executive leadership and relevant governance boards. Recommend and implement improvements based on monitoring insights and incident learnings.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Stay abreast of advancements in AI technology, governance methodologies, and industry best practices. Continuously refine the AI GRC framework to improve its effectiveness and to address new challenges or regulatory requirements. Drive a culture of **continuous improvement and innovation** in how the organization governs and utilizes AI, ensuring NTT DATA remains a leader in responsible AI adoption.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Law degree or a related field would be beneficial. (A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or MBA is a plus.)
+ **Experience:** 8+ years of experience in **IT Governance, Risk Management, or Compliance** roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity. Significant experience overseeing or implementing **AI or data analytics governance** initiatives is highly desirable.
+ **AI Knowledge:** Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning concepts and their practical applications in business. Familiarity with **AI ethics principles** and challenges (e.g., bias, explainability, data privacy in AI, etc.) is required. Experience with managing risks in AI projects or deploying AI solutions in a regulated environment will be an advantage.
+ **IT Governance & Risk Expertise:** In-depth knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and of enterprise risk management practices. Proven ability to develop and enforce policies/procedures in a technology environment. Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, or compliance checks for IT systems or data projects.
+ **Regulatory Compliance:** Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations concerning data and AI, such as the EU AI Act, the GDPR, other privacy laws, and any emerging AI-specific regulations. Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to company processes. Experience establishing compliance programs, dealing with regulators and passing regulatory audits is a plus.
+ **Leadership & Communication:** Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex AI and governance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in chairing committees or leading working groups is beneficial.
+ **Analytical & Ethical Mindset:** Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. High ethical standards and integrity, with a genuine commitment to promoting responsible technology use. Must be proactive and detail-oriented in identifying issues and implementing solutions within governance programs.
+ **Technical Aptitude:** Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding technical documentation. While coding is not required, should possess the ability to discuss AI system architectures, data workflows, and model management with engineers and data scientists. Familiarity with tools or techniques for AI model validation, monitoring, and reporting is an advantage.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ **Certifications:** Professional certifications in governance, risk, or compliance such as **CGEIT** (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT), **CRISC** (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), **CISM** (Certified Information Security Manager), or equivalent. Certifications in data protection (e.g., CIPP) or emerging credentials in AI ethics/governance (AIGP) would be highly regarded.
+ **Industry Experience:** Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, or telecom) or within a large technology company, specifically in roles related to **technology risk or compliance** . Direct experience setting up an AI governance program or leading an initiative for responsible AI in an organization is a strong plus.
+ **Frameworks & Standards:** Familiarity with emerging AI governance frameworks/standards (such as the EU AI Act provisions, ISO/IEC guidelines for AI, or NIST AI Risk Management Framework). Active engagement with industry groups or forums on AI ethics and compliance.
