Our client, a leader in the robotics and embedded systems industry, is seeking a Hardware Test Technician to join their team. As a Hardware Test Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various teams in the development and validation of complex electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Hardware Test Technician
**Location:** Austin, TX
**Shift:** 8:00am – 4:00pm or 11:00am – 10:00pm
**What's the Job?**
+ Execute hardware and system-level test plans on robotics and embedded platforms.
+ Configure and operate Linux-based test environments (Ubuntu preferred).
+ Run automated and manual test procedures; collect and log test data accurately.
+ Build and maintain test fixtures, cables, and mechanical assemblies as needed.
+ Document test results and assist with failure analysis and root cause investigations.
**What's Needed?**
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2+ years of experience in a hands-on test technician or hardware validation role.
+ Proficient in using Linux for hardware bring-up and testing.
+ Strong understanding of basic electronics and electromechanical systems.
+ Ability to follow test plans, read schematics, and interpret technical drawings.
