Hardware Test Engineer
Job Title: Hardware Test EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that our products meet applicable safety and performance standards. This role involves participating in product development teams, developing certification strategies, and interfacing with third-party certification agencies.

ResponsibilitiesApply applicable safety and performance standards to products.Participate in product development teams to ensure global hazardous location and performance requirements are considered.Understand product requirements and develop certification strategies to meet those requirements.Create test plans, oversee, and interpret test results in compliance with company and industry standards and policies.Prepare technical justifications and documents to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards.Interface directly with third-party certification agencies and manage projects with them.Write and execute test protocols in accordance with approval standards and procedures, record results, and write test reports.Maintain existing certifications, support preparations for audits, and participate in audits.Prioritize and manage work requests in an organized and timely manner.Essential SkillsHardware test and EMC test experience.Compliance engineering and requirements development expertise.7+ years of testing experience, including verification and validation of test scripts and procedures.Experience working with 3rd party agencies for certification.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the design and certification of products used in hazardous locations.Experience with European standards and testing validation.Knowledge in electrical engineering and electronics.Work Environment

The role is based onsite in Santa Fe, with a requirement to travel domestically about 20% of the time for testing at different sites.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Fe, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
