Hardware Machine Operator
Our client, Vantedge Medical, a premier metals-based med-tech solutions partner experiencing rapid growth, is seeking a Hardware Machine Operator to join their team. This company has been doing business in San Jose for over 45 years and takes pride in the quality and safety of their operation. As a Hardware Machine Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting vital components for medical markets. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization. Their customers value their precision metal craftsmanship and collaboration on complex solutions. **Job Title:** Hardware Machine Operator **Location:** San Jose, CA **Pay Range:** $19 – $23/hr **Shifts:** 1st Shift (5:30am-1:40pm); 2nd Shift (1:00pm-9:40pm); Weekend Shift (Fri 1:00pm-1:50am; Sat 9:00am-9:40pm;Sun 9:00am-6:30pm) **What's the Job?** + Installs press-fit and other types of hardware into parts using hardware presses and other tools. + Accepts and follows priorities assigned by the Hardware Lead and Hardware Operator 2. + Selects tooling and sets up each job; sets up simple auto-feed tooling when needed. + Inserts dowel pins and uses dial calipers to ensure proper installation height. + Reads and interprets blueprints to verify installation accuracy visually and/or using thread gauges. **What's Needed?** + 1+ years of experience in precision sheet metal, including at least 6 months installing hardware. + Ability to read and interpret written documents and blueprints. + Knowledge of hardware types, thread pitches (standard and metric), and installation tools. + Must be able to visually differentiate between plated and non-plated metals + Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction) + Skilled with dial calipers for measuring thickness and installation height. + Physical ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a cutting-edge medical technology environment. + Collaborative and supportive team culture. + Chance to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families. + Engaging work that combines precision engineering and innovation. + Potential for growth and advancement within the organization. **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
